The SAA England Squad 2019 took part in the IDF 17th World Dance Championships in Croatia
On 21st May 2019, 77 of us boarded the plane to Croatia for the IDF World Dance Championships. We competed with 45 dances across 5 genres and 3 age categories. This was such a pivotal experience reflecting on how many hours of blood, sweat and tears had come together for the five day competition. The week really exposed how SAA are like a family, not just a dance school.
Thanks to the hard work of our 22 dancers and staff we came home with:
- 5 x 1st place trophies
- 3 x 2nd place trophies
- 4 x 3rd place trophies
- 2 x 5th place trophies
- 5 x 6th place trophies
Overall the England Team came 4th out of 22 countries, which was amazing for one of the smaller teams of just 54 dancers.
