Well what a fantastically busy year 2017/18 has been!

The year started off competing at the DC Dance Camp at Butlins Bognor Regis where we walked away with 5 trophies, including three 1st places. We then went into the winter period and hosted our Adult and Kids Christmas Parties & Fayre. Festive fun was had by all!

The new year started off with a successful audition to perform in the Parade down Main Street at Disneyland Paris for the second year running. The success continued at the Portsmouth Festivals where our Modern Trio attained 1st Place in their category.

We then squeezed in a Quiz & Gala Night and Bag Packing at Morrisons as fundraisers for the Disney Dance Championships where we jetted off to France with over 50 students and family members in March. SAA did fantastically well winning 9 Golds, 3 Silvers and a Bronze at this international competition across 5 genres and the Junior & Senior categories.

In May we were invited to perform at The Clanfield Challenge, entertaining the runners with a performance in front of hundreds. This was then followed by a performance at The Royal Albert Hall where we took 38 sparkley students to dazzle in front of a venue that holds thousands. Our students performed a very jazzy Fosse inspired routine.

Term 6 was our busiest term and was kicked off with IDF World Championship Squad 2019 auditions. Lots of our students came forward performing solo's of their own choreography and we were so impressed!

As we never to say no to a reason to party, we then hosted our Summer Ball at The Langstone Hotel at the end of June, where the mums and dads got to let their hair down on the dance floor.

July started with our performance at the very sunny Denmead Infant & Junior School Fayre where we got to meet some of our new students starting in September.

Then the real fun started when our entire school came together for our annual showcase dress rehearsal and show day. Our students did amazingly well performing in two shows to family and friends at Ferneham Hall to finish the academic year off with a bang. We certainly celebrated at the after show party the next day!

Our last function of the year took our teachers to the Dance School of The Year 2018 award as a finalist. It was a great night meeting those in the industry and having a good boogie for getting down to the finalist of our category out of over a thousand entries.

Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and dedication over the year and we are looking forward to a great 2018/19 with our SAA family!
