Emily teachers our youngest dancers and enjoys helping the next generation find their passion for dance
Emily joined in 2004 and over the years has progressed up through the grades and now is part of our adult classes. In addition to this Emily become an assistant teacher for some of our youngest dancers and enjoys helping the next generation find their passion for dance.
Emily first started dancing when she was 3 years old, and instantly fell in love with dance, later in life finding it was the perfect release to life’s stresses! She first started at SAA back in 2004 at the age of 11 and over the years has progressed up through the grades and now is part of our adult classes. She has developed skills in Ballet, Lyrical, Modern and Tap dance andd has had the privilege of dancing as part of the West End Group several times providing her with performance opportunities in addition to the annual showcases.
In September 2017 Emily became an Assistant Teacher for our youngest dancers helping out on Saturday mornings and playing a vital role in getting our youngest to fall in love with dance and feel comfortable on stage in our annual showcases.
After completing her degree in Philosophy from the University of Southampton; Emily started working as a recruiter with Alexander Mann Solutions where she covers roles across Europe. In addition to her work and weekly commitments to SAA, Emily is very big on charity work. She volunteers as a unit leader of a rainbows group through girl guiding and regularly attends event in support of The Alex Wardle foundation.
