Teacher - ISTD DDI/DDE
Viki has been teaching for SAA since 2018 after graduating from Laban Conservatoire
Viki started dancing at an early age and won the title of Hampshire Dance Idol and the Barbra Geoghan Cecchetti award for musicality. In 2009 she joined Waterside Musical Society where she had her first lead role as the petulant Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden. Victoria has since performed and choreographed for Carousel, Honk, Kiss Me Kate, Once Upon A Mattress, The Forbidden Planet, Oliver and Calamity Jane. As well as this Victoria studied Arts award and gained her Bronze, Silver and Gold award in Performing Arts.
She attended the cat scheme at The Point over a period of 10 weeks training in contemporary dance. This lead to her earning a place and attending a scholarship with Laban Conservatoire of Contemporary Dance for 4 years in London. During her time there she worked with choreographers such as Tom Dale, Lea Anderson and Wayne McGregor; performing at the Bonnie Bird theatre and at the Royal Opera House along side the Royal Ballet company as part of a collaborative piece.
In 2014 Viki made it to the finals of U-DANCE and performed in The Witches of Eastwick at the Nuffield Theatre. During the making of this production she worked along side others, choreographing the show and performed as a dancer and Chorus Member.
During Viki's training she has won two gold medals at the IDO Tap Dance World Championships, representing England in Germany with Tap Attack dance company. Whilst being a part of the company they retained the world champion title for two years. She trained with Tap Attack as an associate for a year and continued to progress in to the company and England team for a further 2 years.
Viki holds her ISTD DDI/DDE in Tap and Modern as well as her Musical Theatre Examinations.
